Hello, I am Gayle Swift. My goal is to help you re-imagine your life. With extensive experience and a vast history of client success, my individualized positive approach will help you attain goals.
I have been on a healing journey all my life, following in the footsteps of my Father, a surgeon and my Mother, a surgical nurse, I went into healthcare.Their early death left a deep imprint of grief, abandonment and loss of meaning at an early age, yet it activated a deep desire to end suffering. I became a seeker of wisdom, of truth, of purpose and a deeper meaning with life. Why should we suffer and then just die? There just had to be a deeper reason for humanity’s purpose on earth. I first became a RN focusing on cardiology, then obtained my Masters in stress related disease with a focus on Integrative Healing, followed by a PhD in Quantum Integrative Medicine.
My commitment is to provide you with accountability, understanding and support.
I was blessed to meet amazing teachers, three of which saved my life. Angeles Arrien, the late anthropologist, awakened a deep spiritual connection with the mystical realm where I found my love for the ancient cross-cultural healing traditions of the shamans. Jeanne Achtenberg, deepened my respect for science’s role in understanding how the complex relationship of the mind-body-soul heals. Mary Burmeister taught me the healing art of Jin Shin Jyutsu, exploring the role creativity plays in restoring balance and harmony in the practice of coming to know and take care of myself.
I am a physical therapist licensed in 1983. I am currently working in an acute care and acute rehabilitation hospital. I have to worked in a variety of settings including home and community, transitional living centers and outpatient programs in clinical and managerial positions. My passion is direct patient care and I feel a deep responsibility to honor the trust patients and families place in me as I help them navigate their healing path. I also feel a deep responsibility to support my colleagues sharing the commitment to provide care for our patients.
Committing to a healthier lifestyle is just that – a commitment, and it’s a big one that will take a lot a dedication. ‘We are here to guide you on that journey.’ ~Kathy Benstock
