At the ancient Temple of Apollo at Delphi, is where pilgrims came in search of wisdom. Over the entrance was inscribed the first wisdom, to Know Thyself, for that which you truly seek is your authentic self and the reason you came into this life. This was followed by the two other maxims: Do Nothing in Excess and Certainty Brings Insanity.
One must leave the familiar life, the one forged by the fixed cultural beliefs of family and national origin. Leaving the familiar, opens the path to peace from which one finds one’s truth SELF and the soul is there with the unconditional wisdom of love, compassion.
Do Nothing in Excess— be moderate, centered within the polarity opposites. We are told by many philosophers of all ages, the task is to harmonize the the extremes of dualistic thinking.
Certainty Brings Insanity. Stay safe, comfortable and untouched by the adventure of learning, growing and changing is to become ignorant of the deeper reality of the unity of life. This invites insane acts of violence against life.
The walk on the way is to see who you are, to go past the beliefs, to go past the blame, judgements and frustrations. It is the path where we purify all that blocks the way to the Universal Divine Source of Life.
